Amanda is originally from a small town in Alabama but has spent her teaching career across the western U.S.. She started her career in education at Cradleboard Elementary in Whiteriver, Arizona where she taught 2nd and 3rd grade, while immersing herself and her family in the culture of living on an Apache Indian Reservation. She then moved to Colorado and taught Kindergarten at CTD Greenlee. Later came a move to central California and a year of teaching 1st grade in Stockton at Taylor Leadership Academy. In 2017, she moved back to Colorado and came back to CTD Greenlee. She has taught 3rd grade, ECE-3, and is currently an ECE-4 teacher. Amanda has a BA in Education, an MA in Interdisciplinary Studies and an EdS. in Reading from Arkansas State University. Amanda loves to spend time with her husband and their five grown children.
